January is the month to license your dog
January is the month for licensing your dog(s) in order to comply with State Law. You are not required to license your puppy until it is six (6) months old.

Renewal stickers for the year 2005 are available at the City Clerk's Office during business hours.

Fees for 2005 are as follows:
Dogs that have not altered are $10.00
Spayed/neutered dogs are $6.00

A late fee, in addition to the licensing fee, will be assessed in the amount of $15.00 as of January 31, 2005. Should you fail to license your pet(s) prior to April 1, 2005 the late fee assessment will be $25.00, in addition to the licensing fee.

When licensing your dog(s) at the office, please present a current rabies certificate from a licensed Maine Veterinarian and a spaying or neutering certificate if applicable. The license is valid from January 1 to December 31 of each year.

You may license your dog(s) on line by using a Quick Link on our directory page. Just click the link titled "Renew dog licenses." Please be aware that in addition to the licensing fee the state will charge you a $1.00 for this service. The city of Saco will be notified that you have licensed your dog(s). Should you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact the office at 284-4831.
