Homestead exemption News Flash! This year all homestead exemptions will be $13,000 for all homestead properties in Saco. Why? Two reasons. One - as part of the state "property tax" limitation law, all homestead exemptions will $13,000 at full value regardless of the home's value. Two - because we will be assessing at full value I will not need to ratio the exemptions like I have done these past 5 years. As a matter of fact all exemptions will be at the full amount allowed by law. |
