What's new on the website?
Below you'll find a list of recent additions to the City of Saco website, as well as some timely favorites:
  • Requests for Proposal
    If you'd like to keep up with the latest RFPs issued by the city, check out our latest information item, the Requests for Proposal database. Here you'll find links to the latest RFPs posted by the city. Currently we're seeking bids for the soon to be empty Central Fire Station and the neighboring office building.

  • Fall leaf collection
    The fall leaf collection begins on Monday, November 15 and runs for a week. We'll pick up your bagged leaves (in biodegradeable bags only). For details, follow the link above.

  • Bed Bugs!
    Yuck -- no one wants them and no one wants to think they can get them. But in case you've missed the news, Maine has joined the rest of the nation in facing a plague of these critters. There are steps you can take to keep your home clear. Just follow the link above.

  • It's election time
    There will be an election on Tuesday, November 2. At the local level, we'll be voting on a referendum question regarding changes to our charter pertaining to the former Board of Education. The changes in the charter and codes are necessary in order to comply with State Law regarding the Regional School Unit #23.

    The RSU #23 will also have a referendum question asking the voters to approve a five year contract with Thornton Academy.

    The State of Maine will have ballots for Federal, State and County positions. referendum questions will also be voted upon. For information about polling places and times, voter registration and sample ballots, see the election page.

  • Pay bills ONLINE, not INLINE
    No one likes waiting in line, especially not to pay a bill. Don't forget, you can pay your city real estate and personal property tax bills online, as well as some utility bills. Just follow the link above.

  • Free vacuum cleaner
    Once you're done cleaning the yard, you can do a little "Fall Cleaning" around the house with a free vacuum cleaning. This citizen has a Kenmore cannister vacuum in working condition. Just follow this link.

  • Saco Help Desk
    Got a problem? Need to answer a question? Check out the brand new Help Desk System. In an effort to better serve the citizens of Saco, we've create a single place where people can look for answers to their questions or submit a request for help. You'll get a reply within one business day and you'll be able to follow progress of your request through this system.
